HE IS HERE!!!!!!!!!

Joel Landon Tanner was born at 2:38pm on Monday September 10th 2007. He weight's 8lbs 8oz, and is 19 and a half inches long. And boy is he such a CUTIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Joel was born really fast. We were over at Paul's sister's house watching our nephew Tanner while my sister in-law and brother in-law cleaned up the apartment they just moved out of (Tanner is crawling that's why we were called in for help). So anyway I felt the need to get up and go to the bathroom well when I got in there it felt like he just kicked the bottom of my uterus and I felt a pop! Well you guessed it my water broke, pretty convenient it breaking while on the toilet. Contractions started shortly after. This happened at 1 pm. We called the hospital and the nurse said to lay down, and I basically said I don't think so. We then called my doctors office and they said go to the hospital. Between 1pm and 1:10pm I had 6 contractions. We got to the hospital and Paul says it made him think of something you see in a movie because when we got in there I was screaming and was very impatient letting the world know how much pain I was in. We get in there and the nurse tried to take me to a prep room and then realized when I stood up that I was not kidding when I said my water broke (I was soaked). They took me immediately took me to a delivery room. They checked me and discovered I was fully ready to go. So by 1:30pm I started pushing and he was here an hour later. So just in case you haven't figured it out I did it all with no drugs (even though I wanted some I was to far along). We are now home and slowly recovering.

Nine Months

Okay we had our visit to the doctor today! The heart beat was 147bpm and his head is down. He is healthy and happy. The doctor also had us go up to the hospital to do a no stress test where they check the babies movement to the heart rate to make sure the heart rate accelerates when he moves. Everything went great and he is moving plenty. We will see the doctor again next week.

35 Weeks

Alright everyone we are at 35 weeks and have 5 more to go. We had our doctor appointment today and were told that it is time to start coming in every week instead of every two weeks. (So now we are getting serious). The doctor also said that if I do go into labor anytime that we are at the point now that they will not stop it. So that's very exciting news don't you think! Our little boy is still great his heartbeat was at 136bpm today.

Paul's Accident

Well Paul was at work yesterday and had an accident. Let me tell you the story. So most of you know that he works at a motor sports store putting four wheelers and motorcycles together. Well when they finish putting them together they are suppose to ride them and make sure that they run correctly. So he took one of the motorcylce's out when he finished it and was driving down the road. Well while he was riding a bee got underneath his shorts and stung him and that of course caused a reaction making him jerk his leg and his foot pushed down on the back brake. (He then looked like a little kid riding on two wheels for the first time making the front of the motorcycle swerve really rapidly). The bike then fell to the ground on its side and he skidded on the road on his side. Luckily he was only traveling 20mph and he just got bruised, scraped up pretty bad (and of course he was wearing a helmet he is not stupid).

School

Well final grades are in and are posted. I ACED my Religion class, I am quite proud of myself. Okay I know that it was only on class, but I have to tell you all that it was a challenging class and that's because of the huge work load it had. I thought that it was maybe just me but I ran into a guy from my class who is pretty smart (I could tell critiquing his papers every once in a while)the other day and he was sure glad the class was over because of the work load being so demanding. That's the way school is though demanding (all those who have experienced college I'm sure would agree). For those who do not know I am taking the Fall off from school because that's when the baby arrives, however I will be starting back up in the Winter (so January).

The Strollers Here

A Little Scary

We had ourselves an eventful day yesterday. Paul had to take me to the hospital yesterday morning. I had started feeling some new pains on Sunday and they progressively got worse. So we did the smart thing and Paul called the doctor and he told us that we needed to come in and get it checked. Well we did just that and went to the hospital and they hooked me all up to the monitor. Come to find out I was having contractions, however I was not feeling them (well I slightly felt them). So with that they checked me out to make sure I wasn't dilated and thankfully I wasn't however they say my cervix is very then and apparently at 32 weeks that should still be thick. So needless to say they told me to take it easy because I do not want to induce labor quite yet. They took some blood! Then they gave me an I V (not sure how to spell), a pill and a shot to make the contractions go away. I have to admit I was quite scared of everything going on because it is still early. Paul was there through the whole thing and he was so wonderful and comforted me. So hopefully this little boy will be patient and wait at least 4 weeks.

Eight Month's

Things are going well the last doctor visit showed that the babies heart beat is 153bpm (I think that's what it was). It was a week ago. My next appointment is July 30th. I have to say that he still is just as active and boy is he getting bigger. He is doing a lot of pushing on things. It is funny to see my tummy bulge out a little on my sides. I think that he sticks his butt out sometimes in the middle of my belly! Paul is getting so excited for this baby boy to get here. We just bought the crib today only so we have to wait for it to be shipped and we are waiting for out stroller to get here (it might be her this week). Thank you to those who have sent gifts and are sending gifts.

4th of July

What a wonderful 4th of July! We started the day out at the parade here in Rexburg and then had a family BBQ at Paul's sisters house. Later on we went for a long walk to go and rent some movies (and boy I am hurting pretty bad from that walk, in my uterus). Anyway then later we watched the fireworks from Paul's sister's apartment (they were okay nothing like what I like and have seen in Washington)! I hope that all of you had a wonder 4th of July!

Seven Months

Alright everyone I am at 7 months and in count down mode. I had my doctors appointment yesterday (Friday the 29th)! Things are still looking great. This little baby boy has a healthy heartbeat of 137 bpm. He has been kicking a lot lately and he has just discovered my ribs. He is suppose to grow a bunch here at the end of the pregnancy so I hear (that means I am going to become a whole lot more uncomfortable).
I am getting pretty excited about my baby shower coming up July 14th not only will we get some cute stuff for the baby but I am also excited that I will get to see some friends that are not around here.

Fishing

Well Paul had his day off from work today so we decided to go fishing together. We fished for 4 hours and caught a total of 7 fish (little fish) and we threw them back, but we didn't want to keep them anyway.

Memorial Day

Paul fishing!

Six Months

Hey everyone all is great with me and the baby! Three months to go! Let me tell you we are going to have a very active little boy, he kicks so much. He just discovered my bladder recently and I swear that he bounces on it, so once I get done going to the bathroom I feel like I have to go again instantly. I tell you aside from spending half of the day in the bathroom this part of the pregnancy is the most fun. I do have to tell you though that I couldn't help myself today Paul and I bought a few cute things. My doctors appointment went very well, the little one is doing great and has a heart beat of 141 bpm. My next appointment is June 29th.

Okay I did as best as I could with the pictures if you look at the top one on both of them and to the left where it looks kind of round (you see it) now see that white thing sticking out yeah that's his thingy! And then on the bottom of both you can see the profile with the head on the right. He is so stinking cute!!!!!! I am sure you all think so!

Five Months

Five months baby! Pregnancy is not so bad once you get past the nausea (however I am sure I will be singing a different tune while I am in labor). I have my doctor's appointment tomorrow where we should be able to find out the sex of the baby as long as the little one is not shy. This little bundle of joy is so active kicking and punching and there are even times when it feels like he or she is doing flips (now that feels weird). I promise to let everyone know what happens tomorrow!
